The Brand & Site Design Process
1. BRAND HOMEWORK
After you've booked your project, I'll send over a homework packet that includes brand and website questionnaires so that I can gain a deeper understanding of your target audience, brand details, and business goals. Have a specific design idea in mind? Great, let’s collaborate!
Or maybe you have no idea where to begin with the whole brand design process and want someone to take the reins? Not to worry, I can take the reins and create a beautiful brand from scratch that will speak to your target audience.
2. BOARD + BRAND AESTHETIC
The first step of your custom branding design is the creation of a mood board. A mood board is a collection of inspiration that will serve as a starting point to get the mood of your brand going.
After studying your questionnaires and taking into consideration your brand goals, I’ll create your mood board and color palette. This will help us get on the same page visually and serves as a way for me to communicate concepts and ideas before moving forward.
3. LOGO + BRAND DESIGN
It’s the part you’ve been waiting for… your logo mockups! During this phase of the project, I’ll send you 3 unique logo concepts to choose from. You’ll get a primary logo, a secondary logo and sub mark logo that come together to create your complete brand suite.
These different options reflected in the logo suite make a world of difference when it comes to the usability of a logo design in various applications and design situations. From here, we’ll create the supporting design elements like custom textures and graphics, font designations and more.
4. MARKETING MATERIALS
+ BRAND COLLATERAL
The 4 collateral design options are perfectly tailored to your unique business’s needs. During our strategy call, we’ll discuss which options would be most beneficial for you, since no two businesses are exactly alike.
I’ll share my tips and tricks along the way, like creating an email newsletter opt-in on your website to capitalize on future leads, or suggestions on the basics of blogging for SEO (search engine optimization).
I can create helpful tools, like on-brand email newsletter templates, or a beautifully designed freebie opt-in offer (like a PDF) that will make sharing your new brand with the world a breeze.
5. SQUARESPACE WEBSITE DESIGN
After we've created a solid brand identity foundation, we’re ready to create your new website. After our thoughtful and strategic content and copy work together in the pre-design phase of the process, it’s time to let your message shine with great design. Good design is more than just “pretty.” It’s functional as well.
I follow the principle, “form follows function” to create a website that works to amplify your messaging.
We’ll be using the Squarespace platform, which allows for easy updates after the initial design process is finished. We'll add any blog options or ecommerce, depending on your business's needs.
6. FINAL WRAP UP + TRAINING
After all phases of design are completed, we’ll schedule a back-end website training call to make sure you’re completely comfortable with using your new website. We'll bring everything together to finalize your exciting new branding package, with final deliverables including: logo designs, color palette, patterns and textures, fonts, mood board, custom graphics and images used on the website, and more.
All of this is delivered alongside an easy-to-understand brand style guide PDF that you can review and share with your team to ensure brand consistency moving forward. On launch day, we’ll take your site live and you’ll be ready to share your new brand with the world… cheers!

The Brand + Website Package takes 4 weeks from start to finish (with homework and planning phase happening before our official design start date). I work with one client at a time during those dedicated design dates so that I’m able to fully immerse myself in the creative process for your unique brand. I’m typically booked out 3-6 months in advance, so if you know you want to start your project soon, please reach out today to reserve your spot in my booking schedule!

I typically ask for a 50% deposit to reserve your spot in my booking schedule. The remaining 50% isn’t due until we’re finished with the project. I do offer custom payment plans for up to 6 months on an individual, as-needed basis for my clients. Please contact me to learn more.

As a brand designer who knows that your brand is more than just a logo, I aim to tell the full brand story. I’m currently not available for just logo design, but would love to work with you on the logo design as part of my Brand + Logo Design Package. I make sure to cover all of the best-practice basics for on-page Squarespace SEO, which include: Optimizing images for fast load times, adding keyword rich descriptions to image meta data, headers, page descriptions and page titles, optimizing URLs, enabling SSL (a security certificate).

My goal is to empower business owners and entrepreneurs to take full control of their websites if they want to. Squarespace is an intuitive and user-friendly platform, which doesn’t require constant updates of plugins, technical detail know-how and all of the other things that make business owners want to give up on keeping their site updated. My training and education process at the end of our project will leave you feeling confident to maintain your website on your own (but of course, I’m always here if you need help!). This website platform allows you to focus on your business, rather than getting bogged down with the technical details.

To put it simply, I HIGHLY recommend custom photos for your new brand and website project. Working with a photographer allows us to create intentional imagery that perfectly reflects your new direction, feels cohesive, and will connect powerfully with your audience. Stock photos can be curated as an addition/supplement to your brand photoshoot, but are never as effective as a custom shoot. I know a photoshoot can feel intimidating, but don’t worry! I offer guidance and help every step of the way, from creating a lookbook of pose suggestions, detail shot ideas, and even helping you make sure your outfit is on-brand.
